Aspiring young Victorian Formula Ford and Sonic Motor Racing Team racer James Moffat received a surprise at Queensland Raceway recently when No Limit Group’s CEO Mr John Marshall offered to support him for the balance of the 2007 Australian Formula Ford Championship Season.
It’s no secret that James has battled to raise funding for a full tilt at this year’s Australian Formula Ford Championship campaign and No Limit Group’s sponsorship is aptly timed.
“It’s fantastic to have No Limit Group’s support for the balance of this season. No Limit Group has been a strong supporter of motor sport for a number of years and it’s an honour to be associated with this organisation. My special thanks to John Marshall for coming to my aid at this critical time of the season. I can now fully focus on my racing”, Moffat stated.
Ironically, it was No Limit Group CEO John Marshall’s birthday on the day of the announcement, and he light heartedly commented, “I’m more used to receiving presents on this day than giving them out! We are delighted to be able to support James and have him complete the rest of the season in the National Championship. He has a great deal of talent and we trust he can further his career”, Marshall concluded.
James is the son of iconic Touring Car legend Allan Moffat and is currently lying 3rd in this year’s Australian Formula Ford Championship. James has hope of one day reaching the V8 Supercar Series. He and racing team mate Tim Blanchard tested with the Triple 8 V8 Supercar team at Queensland Raceway in August.
No Limit Group were major sponsors last year of the Supercheap Auto Racing Team and continue to support motor sports in various ways.
